We live in a world where the numbers count more than the moves to most.
How many people like a post...
How many followers...
How many comments...
How much of your life can you quantify in number...
People have placed so much of their own VALUE on the numbers. So much so that when the numbers don’t match who they say they are, pretend to be or have to prove to be they begin to doubt or question their own existence and purpose.
Have you ever felt that way? I have watched it happen many times and I remember encountering a mentor that attempted to drive or base one of her client’s success or lack thereof on follower count and numbers that proved not to be a good barometer for that clients’ line of business.
As I was preparing to write today, I found myself looking at my own blog analytics prior to posting. My last blog from Oct 24, 2024, was only read/accessed by ten viewers. That was extremely low for my entries over the years and even in the most recent months. I have never been one to be concerned with the numbers because for me it’s always been about the Impact of one. Like if I was only prompted to share , write or post to get the message to one person I have done my job for the week, and I still feel that way today.
My rationale and girl math are a little different from the analytics. See if one person shares with one person and ten people share the message itself with ten additional people verbal, text, or email the message has now traveled by way of different channels and again my duty as messenger is complete.
The additional people got the message and never had to touch my website. That’s REAL IMPACT.
I listened to a story in 2022 of a woman who had Millions of followers and not one person converted to a sale or a dollar. She shared her marketing plan , she posted daily , she grew her social accounts to the max. A few partnerships proved successful, but she was relying on a $1 per follower initiative to put her where she needed to be in business and financially and failed. She won the popularity contest, but her purpose was getting lost in the sauce.
As you prepare for the week ahead and the year that is rapidly coming to a close , I encourage you to track your personal life math correctly. I pray that you are tracking the right numbers and ensuring your barometer (device used to measure atmospheric pressure) of success , strength and forward movement is correct. If you were never good at math this may be a challenge so let me help you , your being ,your worth , impact of your assignment and/or gift is not based the public numbers. It is based on the private numbers!
Did the words or works of your hand have influence. That’s the barometer you must remain connected to because that my friends are where the real favor lives and quite honestly where the real currency is!!
Think back over your life , your year , your month or even last week how many people did you bless in spite of!? Count it ALL!!!
Have an amazing week and know that YOU ARE DOING A GREAT JOB and there is no LIKE button , share button going to prove otherwise , look at yourself in the mirror and say the NUMBERS DON’T LIE and remember your proof!!!
